ex's are always more factual.....but that's only because he gives several options which mean one of them will be right.

Your reliable source is wrong I am afraid. Never had any dealings with the man- I simply acknowledged the impact losing GT might have.

Look, the facts are quite simple; running a football club is not easy. DK has made too many wrong turns and as a consequence we find ourselves in a right mess. I have never said he isnt a decent bloke or that is heart isnt in the right place.

We all know GT wasnt perfect. Arguably his knowledge of the game is what saw him through- he certainly didnt make 8 consecutive profits from growing the buisness did he. Of course his money was made with Manset, Mahon, Williams, Parry, Pugh etc etc. He knew about agents fees, he knew the ins and out of lower league football and how to make it pay.

The crucial point that many will quietly admit to themsleves but not on here however is that what GT did here was totally taken for granted. These people simply didnt spare a thought for what might happen or what could have happened once we lost such an important part of the club.

Was GT perfect- no chance. Would I go back in time, forfeit everything good that has happened and have him as the owner of the club...Yes I would.

You dont have to share my opinion, you just need to realise that my view is no less valid than yours.

Quite possibly for the first time (but not necessarily) I actually think that is a very sensible post.

I'm fairly neutral on GT, but do get tired of fishy's endless re-raking over of the past. What you'd do well to remember is that GT had had enough, he simply didn't have it in him to keep going any longer hence him permitting the whole Trewick fiasco. The GT he had been, love him or loathe him, would not have continued in the same vein IMO. Comparing the fate we are suffering now to one with him at the helm is not as simple as looking at his prior record and comparing it to what has followed.

As Ex says you have to hon on intell, if the Rusk element don't turn up coz of a puncture then it's overkill if a coach load that weeny coming decide last minute to attend then your underprepared.
