 Felt strange .........
« Thread Started on May 5, 2012, 9:25pm »

...........driving home tonight, almost relieved it was all over. Don't get me wrong I'm so sad about getting relegated but I think if we had stayed up then we would of had more of the same next season and we would have gone eventually.
I think that with the strides we have made off the field this might be a chance to start again.
I'd like to see ROK and Stevie G at the helm.
It's not as bad as 97, or at least it doesn't feel like it.............

I would love to see ROK stay but just cant see it. He can get better offers no doubt about it. Also if he wanted it he would have said yes earlier in the week.

I really would love him to stay because he is just such a good people person but I fear Sean O'D will be back in the game soon and ROK will follow.
Stevie G would provide great energy around the club but he lacks contacts in the game (like Jamie) so not sure he could do it on his own.
DK needs to get ROK to stay by providing the finances to do his job. If ROK is a no-go then my next preferred choice would be Sir Jim.

What is the obsession with some fans to clamour for previous players to be our manager all the time? Imo some of the parochial attitudes are half the problem. If O'Kelly does indeed leave like I expect him to then we should be looking for someone with previous managerial experience at BSP level, someone who know what it takes to get us back up.

Who is out of work?

Whatever, we cannot afford to have another 'green' manager at this time.

Sir Jim has been their with Morcombe and got them up. Finished 6th in the table with Staylebridge. Why not him if ROK was to go??

Think you'll find he didn't take Morecombe into the League.

The ilk of manager I'd like to see would be someone like Paul Buckle who looks set to take Luton up after mere weeks in charge.

Curious, would people prefere to see Stevie G or Steve Burr?

Can't think of a reason why Steve Burr would ever want the job. If not ROK then Jimmy would be a great appointment. Sentiment apart, I think his record warrants it.

Not Buckle. A complete tw@t apparently.

ROK for me, turned our performances around. Fantastric last few games.

Even DK admitting now that he should have made changes earlier.

I only say Stevie G coz I know a couple of FGR players and they really rated him as a coach/man manager. Also i know he is highly thought of in the University football world. Just thought he would be worth a shout.

Steve Evans for me ;) Hasn't he had success at taking teams into the league?
