Just had Mrs Parka arrive at Parka Towers clutching a gift from Edgar Street....... THE NEW CLUB CUSHION.
This is so stylish. Not sure whether to place in on the car parcel shelf or in the bedroom
Anyone else brought one of these cute things - which are very very cool.
Whoever packed it managed to get it into a jiffy bag that was twice as small as the item. A bit like the TARDIS - respect !
As usual great service from the club with a nice compliments slip in the package.
The NEW CLUB SHOP on the new site is a revelation - and with the new postage rates based on items - it is now even better value than ever.
At this time of smaller gates and bad weather hopefully all exiled fans will dig deep and spend some money at the NEW CLUB SHOP to keep our club going.
We want to make sure the Club stays in profit each season so that over time we can make the progress we all want to see.
Remember no club is perfect - our club has a long way to go to improve to where we want it to be. The club also has limited funds when say compared to those clubs who get 6,000+ crowds like Slop. It is a miracle that we generally beat Slop every game and play better football - when we have half the money that they do to spend on players.
Some people on here who bleat all the time about how our club needs to do X Y or Z - need to take a reality check. Our club is OUR club - and we can all play our part. Not least by turning up to as many home games as possible and by supporting the Club Lottery - 50.50 tickets - Club Shop - Radfords. I know most people support ALL these things already - certainly everyone I know who posts on here does all these things. But in these times of recession it is so important that we all try and raise the amount we can give to the club in order to keep it going at a standard which we have grown accustomed to.
In 2003 - 04 crowds were averaging 3,700. This led to a number of years of great success. If our averge goes down to around 2,000 then the budget will be HALF what it was then - and our ability to get players will be HALF it was then. That is the brutal truth of supporting a club. If fans boycott games then THEY are the reason the club is not getting better. That is a fact. They can mouth blame at others - but the actual mechanics of it say that if the fans dont support FIRST then the club does not have the money to spend.
GT has made it clear he will live WITHIN the club's means. That is a good position. It means we will never go under. It means the club will always be there. But the downside is this - if fans dont turn up then he will not have the money to give the manager to get the best players.
We may have had £800K in the bank. But I can see that being wiped out with the New Stand and the current recession pretty quickly. It is a very small amount in general terms.
So if you have a moment visit the NEW CLUB SITE and click on the CLUB SHOP and spend £50 on clothes ( which are good quality ) Or souvenirs 0r scarfs. And while you are at it - join the lottery or increase your stake by a fiver. Every little helps.
If all 1000 bulls fans on banter gave £5 a month to the club it would mean the club £60K a year for the club to spend on improvements.
Finally - it is only £17.99 for 6 months of the Club Website premium service, That is a fantastic bargain. I am sure the club will get some of that money. Every exile I am sure has already signed up - we will benefit very much from this. But even home fans can help the club and back the webteam by signing up for this special offer.
It would be good to see 2000+ subscribers to the new website. Which would provide another extra income stream to the club and help the webteam provide a better service for us all.
Fans have a massive part to play. So everyone- put your money where your mouth is and lets make 2010 a great year for our club.

Well you are getting closer but you still manage to pluck random figures out of the air to support your latest piece of drivel. But just to correct you again, our attendances have pretty much averaged 5500 ever since we moved to the Prostar.
You have beaten us in the last three games, we beat you in the three previous, the head to head is in our favour...... if thats generally beating us in every game then fine I am sure you will extend that run in February when the gems Pugh and Constantine visit the Prostar

Sorry, the new HUFC cushion is "stylish"? Habitat must be sh****** themselves!
Surely if 1,000 people decided they wanted to cough up £5 a month it wouldn't in fact result in £60k to the club as I assume the Premier TV people take a hefty cut for use of their shiny template?
