Why ask the Stam 'injury prone' question you clown?

Could you imagine the uproar had we not signed him?

I disagree Glos. With our budget so tight, to sign a player that injury prone (who, whisper it quietly, isn't that good) on a two year deal, was criminal. JP had told Tony James that he was going to sign him. TJ waited for the phone call - it never came.

So now it's JP's fault that Stam gets injured!
He also made it rain this afternoon and i had a wash on the line!
He's got an awful lot to answer to!

Can we now finally explode the myth that Pitman is a top young manager who just needs an arm around his shoulder to succeed?
His record says he is nothing like it and a top young manager has to be able to talk to the media and fans.

The only sensible person in the room is Gary Peters. I don't know what that means.

Also, the myth about him being a nice bloke. I've only met a few people who've met him. None were too complimentary.

I'm sorry but that's boll0cks. Stam is a very good League 2 centre half - better than TJ. Had we not signed him and still found ourselves in this position (or worse), people would be grabbing their pitchforks already.

I've met him, he seemed a good bloke. He just can't handle negativity towards him... and he's a crap manager.

Not entirely true. If we hadn't signed him, but brought in TJ (who I'd imagine would've been cheaper) people would have understood, especially if that had allowed us to fill the numerous holes in the squad. Also, Stam is an average League 2 centre back. Looks great compared to Towner and Kovacs, but he's not Franco Baresi.

Pleased with that response from Peters. Sitting in the stands if a much better idea.
