Wish him all the best in the future, looks like a great oppertunity - not so sure on this "great club servant" line though.

Why??he scored a late goal v Telford in 03 and got us back to the league with that amazing goal in 06, that is enough to give him LEGEND status in my eyes, good luck Ryan.

going to be a big miss, he should have been made a really good offer to stay, but thinking of his injury record maybe the 2 year deal on our budget may well have been a gamble..... good luck to him...

He also priced himself out of an extended stay at HUFC on two occasions and managed to look fairly disinterested most of last season while we were in a proper dogfight.

He was a more than decent footballer but never seemed to treat HUFC as any more than a wage.

Tobefairlike, that is - in essence - the outlook of the professional footballer.

I don't think he owes us anything, and he leaves with my best wishes. If we can't afford him, I can't say I blame him for sticking to his guns over the contract. It's a short career, his is coming to an end, and he is more than capable of getting a contract for a longer period and for more money elsewhere. So why shouldn't he?

I wouldn't say he ever looked disinterested, but he has always given me the impression that he could step it up a little if he wanted to - which is testament to his undoubted ability, if not his willingness to apply it regularly. *

* You know, like when Manchester United have cruised into a 2-0 lead and you just know that, if they felt like it, they could go on to score another 7, but, equally, if they didn't, they have more than enough about them to see out the game without breaking a sweat. Ryan Green has always given me that impression.

Which is probably testament to why he wouldn't be worthwhile offering decent money to this season. Can you see him being equally as 'up' for Dartford or Braintree away as he was for that night?

I can't. Therefore, i'd rather see his salary go on 2 Gallinagh type players who give you steady 7/8's all season long.

The club should of still done the decent thing and told him that they could not afford him. I dont know why this club does this. It does not give out a good impression to other players wanting to stay or come in and also the fans.

If he can get a deal to 'work' out in Cyprus good luck to him. He doesn't owe us anything or vise versa. That's modern day football.

They did tell him when the original contract talks began; not so sure why they wouldn't follow it up with at least a phone call when the end of the season actually came though.

Hes alright. Only thing that got him bad press was that he cant walk away from Nobs who have a go at him in nightclubs/bars.

How about the times he's been the "nob" and caused the trouble? Trust me, there's been plenty of those occasions. I'm not proud to say that i've had an issue with him on a night out before but he very much brings it upon himself.

U had an issue with him? Iv actually physically stuck up for him in a club due to a nob ed following him around the club hassling him. A mate of mine working in a bar also witnessed an idiot disturb greener having a meal with a friend and trying to slap him for what appeared to be jealousy as it is for most that ain't a fan of his. I used to speak to him on nights out and was always friendly to my friends also. I'm a proper bulls fan and support those I feel make my club stronger.

You've had your experiences and therefore have your opinion; i've had my experiences and therefore have my opinion.

We'll leave it at that.
