Closer for me than a trip to ES. I may take a couple of Gumper fans with me, so they can find out what proper football, and meat pies, does to your sense of wellbeing.........................

If I have failed to offend you with my comments, stick around. Your time will come............... |

A win on Saturday and fairweathers will turn out in force as if we sit top or 2nd or vice - versa they do , Rodney Parade will have a cup atmosphere - its 40 mile away FFS - litterly down the road
NEWPORT COUNTY v HEREFORD UNITED
The fixture is a great rivalry in the past , i certainly believe there would of surpassed a 1000 easily on the original date and kick off time

If we're assuming 'the road' to mean 'the public highway' then I would argue it literally is down the road. Then again, so is every other road accessible location in mainland Britain. Unless we're getting into the semantics of 'up' & 'down', in which case you're literally opening a whole other can of worms.
|
As Ex says you have to hon on intell, if the Rusk element don't turn up coz of a puncture then it's overkill if a coach load that weeny coming decide last minute to attend then your underprepared.

and maybe you're forgetting Reg's penchant for minor poetic flourishes in his posts, I assumed he made a gentle pun on the word litter, evoking the image of our fans travelling in a light and free somewhat aimless manner like litter blowing along in the breeze.

If we are 1st and 2nd I think it will be easily over 1500. Everyione I know has been talking about this one since the fixtures came out and I think it will really catch the imagination.

Think they might have to if this is true-
Re: Record Attendance by Kevin ncfc on August 19th, 2012, 7:39 pm
I was talking to our local plod after the game saturday and mentioned about them having to do some work when Hereford bring 1000 fans down. I was told that only 600 will be let into the ground so if a thousand turn up, then tuff. Apparently it is to do with Health and safety and RP, and nothing the police can do about it. I hope this is not true as we have a ground that holds 9000 plus and we are only letting in 600 away fans.
